The company\'s revenue rose 45 percent to 12.2 billion dollars and the operating income increased by 17 percent to 2.75 billion dollars. The worldwide volume went up 5 percent in the quarter, led by brand Coca-Cola volume growth. The newly-built plants in emerging markets helped boost the sales. \"For a sixth consecutive quarter, we delivered performance results in line with or ahead of our long-term growth targets,\" said Muhtar Kent, the company\'s chairman and chief executive officer. \" Importantly, we accomplished these results during a time of ongoing global market volatility.\"
